Many people are not aware of what double face satin ribbon means——The term describes a satin that is the same on both sides so there is no need to be sure the correct side is facing out.

There are also single face satin satin ribbon, which means——you guessed it——-satin on one side. There is a small price difference , the single face being the least expensive . For the small price difference I much prefer the double face satin. Of course if you are gluing onto a surface single face is just fine.

Our double face satin is 100% polyester—that means it will hold up to outdoor weather as well as laundering.

My Mom is the Ribbon Lady. As far back as I can remember, she was always involved with crafts. She even made our clothes; beautifully crafted holiday dresses like cranberry smocked velvet with stunning satin bows, as a pre-teen, I loved my mom-made zebra-striped pajamas and as a teenager in the 70’s she helped me embroider a favorite denim cowboy shirt. We always had the most creative Halloween costumes. A florist by trade, Mom was busy making brides very happy when she suddenly purchased a ribbon company. I didn’t really get it until I needed some ribbon. She took me into her “ribbon room” and carefully opened suitcases of beautiful shimmering French wired sheer ribbon, mixing and matching for my project. I felt like I was in a VIP in a fancy couture store buying a Coco Chanel dress. Because of her passion, I wanted to get involved in the ribbon business. We are a family run company—you got it, ribbon on the kitchen table while dogs and cats oversee our efforts. Dad is the Chief Financial Officer, Mom is the Creative Director and I’m the Marketing Director.
